GALP - Architecture Firm Loureiro Pádua, was created in 1976, although the Architecture Practice had existed since 1951, with José Carlos Loureiro (1925-2022) and, later, with Luís Pádua Ramos (1931-2005).
José Manuel Loureiro joined the firm in 1982 and Luis Pinheiro Loureiro in 2010.
Over the years, dozens of collaborators have contributed to the design and execution of the projects and works carried out. Currently, the team consists of José Manuel Loureiro, Luis Pinheiro Loureiro and José António Moreira. The association with other collaborators and specialties is made according to the size and characteristics of the projects to be developed.
The Firm has in its curriculum more than 400 projects, characterized by different types of buildings and programs, between the small scale of private character and the large public scale, as well as urbanization and detail plans. The archive is currently integrated in the Marques da Silva Foundation.
Among the programs that define the various projects, there are private houses, collective housing, social housing, office and commercial buildings, shopping centers, congress centers, hotels, homes for the elderly, childcare centers, hospitals, research laboratories, schools and universities, sports and multipurpose pavilions, religious buildings, prison establishments, factory buildings, car dealers, bank branches, pedestrian paths and bicycle lanes.
The design of furniture and urban furniture complements the architectural and urban design project.
